basically it sounds like whatever losing event happens in this losers life, (and there must be many, considering that this type of loser attracts it like a magnet), he blames on whoever is close to hand. Counting others successes as reasons for his own demise. A true loser. This girl does a completely different job, her success or non success bears absolutely no relation to the losers life, yet the loser has committed himself to further loss by giving up his job because of it. What a loser, I bet he hasn't even really given in his notice, because he already lost at that, and is now just sat around, all bitter and twisted, fiddling with his handgun.
