Final cut is more of a video editing package and the others are considered compositing apps. I think Final Cut is the only one that will capture video. That's the only think I use it for. After Effects is very easy to learn if you are familiar with Photoshop because it works with layers, modes, masks and integrates with Adobe programs very well. I don't really think Final Cut is necessary at all aside from capturing.
