    haha, very funny, joyride ;)

well, in grade 8 (haha) some guy's cd player and cd's got stolen when we were at camp. He was sort of my friend too, and I tried to help him find his cd player throughout the area. The teachers decided to let us know that they'd be looking through everyone's bags once we got back to school. On the way there, all the bags were kept together at the back of the bus where many students were hanging around at different times.

Once we got back to school, they were going through everyone's bags. The teachers let a select group of students look through the bags (it was interrogation time) and low and behold, two cd's that the boy was missing were in my bag. At this time, I was like, "oh shit" but eventually realized that the boy and I had the same Tim Hortons duffle bag (from a previous camping trip in grade 5), and obviously someone attempted to put the cd's back after the teachers told us they would be going through our bags, and that idiot ended up putting it the wrong bag, which was mine.

The friends that I had been neglecting somewhat felt badly for me and didn't say anything to make the situation worse, other than that they knew I didn't steal the cd's. After this, everyone decided to stop looking through the bags because it was *obvious* that I had stolen the cd player, and the next step was to look for the cd player (they had only found the cd's, remember).

My best friend at the time (read: bitch) publicly humiliated me by, first of all, believing I had stolen the cds, then, secondly, accusing me of stealing the cds (from a boy neither of us talked to all that much). She then led the hunt to go through my locker, backpack, desk, etc., all the while whispering to some random kids in our class (who joined the hunt) about more places I had access (of course, being my friend, she would know where I kept my things around school) to that they could check to discover the missing cd player. I couldn't believe the nerve she had.

So, of course, they never found the CD player. The principal did find some broken cd player parts in the boy's changeroom though, which he let me know.

To top it off, the vice-principal called me (along with my parents) to ask me if I had faked an asthma attack during camp to steal the cd player. No, I'm not making this shit up. Yes, yes, it all makes sense. I FAKED an asthma attack.

All this accusing got so bad that the principal had to come in an tell the class off, because no one had any good proof that I had actually stolen anything. And it did actually ruin my reputation in high school a bit, although most people had the decency to know some rumours for what they are.

At least I learned who my actual friends were, who I am still best friends with today.

I am so glad I am out of that damn school.
