Fuck, I shouldn't say this, but I used to work for a LARGE, I mean one of the top ten Financial Institutions in the US. For about an hour and a half I knew the change in stock price when they let lose their Quarterly Earning, etc.
The influence of quarterly earnings announcements on investor decisions is pretty big.
There were times where they went up like $3 bucks. I could have cleaned up, but they would have been suspicious.
