when i was a kid and the original starwars came out, like back in 1977, i think it was probably one of the single most cool events of a kids life...
everything revolved around it...
it was simple, it was easy to understand and yet it seemed bigger than anything to come before it...
it was a myth and an adventure big enough to run around in..to make believe you were either luke, or darth, or han or leia, or whatever...sandboxes could quickly become tatooine, and a yard stick could be a lightsabre in seconds...
it was magic.
and any of you that are around 30 or so like me TOTALLY know what i'm talking about..as for the new movies, who cares.
they suck, and to me have no relevence at all..
i go see them when they come out, but i dont much care whether they're any good...
i had my fix back in the late 70's early 80's when it was perfect...now, lord of the rings...
THAT is where my adult heart has found a home..
those movies were made for me right now, as the starwars movies were when i was a kid....
