Sounds like a shit hole that should be avoided.
It's a real pain in the arse buying houses in the UK, the only thing close to being affordable these days is almost certainly going to either be a shit house or a shit area or both.
Unless you're buying in an area like that as an investment then I honestly wouldn't bother. The novelty of pretending you're dead hard as you walk along the street so hopefully a crackhead chav won't mug you will wear off.
Anyway, don't you have to be a zillionaire to buy in London these days? Huddersfield is getting expensive so I dread think what London is like.
