  I have a macbook pro C2D.

  CS2 is quite slow and illy crashes a lot if I have photoshop open at the same time.
  CS on the other hand has worked without any problems. no crashes, no speed issues.

  I personally wouldn't recommend upgrading to Cs2 yet. Wait until CS3 is released.
