for a mark that is so simple (whichever one you go with) I think type will play a bit part.
Maybe have a look at some more unusual faces. Not necessarily odd looking just alternatives to the standard helvetica/futura etcI'm sure Typographica will recommend some. Buy a new face and pass the cost on to the client, plus you get a new addition to your collection.
