oh yeah and firewire800 was added back. i know in some retail stores new macbook core duos are being sold as refurbs, and some are being sent back to apple.com i suspect to be sold via the net, so there is a very good chance u could get a new computer even if you buy thru the refurb section.
the 40% faster is a lab benchmark and i doubt real world users will see a 40% increasse in peformance. especially considering the largest drive is 5400 rpms...that will bottleneck speed..there are just too many factors to take the 40% increase as a real world standard.
as far as a bigger macbook i dont know anything about that. i havent even heard that as a rumor..*shrugs*is this an upgrade yes? is it worth it? not hardly. like i said earlier i would rather save more money and get a core duo, and wait for the newer laptops with the santa rosa chipset which hopefully will be here around the release of leopard.
