what you needed to have done is create everything from beginning to end on a canvas size of 1024 x 576 then render your movie with a strech of 720 x 576 this will be an anamorphic picture in a 4x3 frame which is how they want it, however you have not made your project in this way so you will need to do some reworking depending on what kind of materials you have to give them.... also do they have an 'ARC' so they can simply change the aspect ratio or is everything going to be tapeless?.
