Your company is worth nothing if it hasn't aligned itself with some lifestyle or primal emotion.
Forget making quality products/services, we can offshore that.
Our focus group said indie-rock is cooler than skateboarding. We need to sponsor a rock show! Cancel the skate contracts.
Branding has its place, but the overblown 'own the culture' branding is pointless.
