dude, don't you see grey area between making loads of money and helping precisely in those areas where the most mediatic revenue is? is this a silly question?
why don't they silently help them build schools and universities, and transfer technology without paternizing the poor? And this paternizing enough. For many africans, this Aid thing is another form of colonialism - and you can bet they probably go around hijacking medical supplies for the black-market
It would be better if the big companies that go there for cheap cotton would pay them the same they pay in Florida. That would be the right thing to do. That would be an equal chance.
