I would like to point out that using beta sp is not good advice.
Possibly you are confused with 'digi beta' which is the best format along with HDCAM to use for keying, the reason DV sucks for keying is due to the fact that it is a highly compressed format and as soon as you aply grading to it or try to key it then your compression shows up like a mummy lover. Although you just have to live with what you have available I suppose. Today I filmed myself and two other workmates dancing infront of some green screen so I can create a nice silloette and colorise it for use in a GFX piece I am doing. So I crancked my shutter speed right up on the camera so I could get good crisp clear edges around fingers and arms as they waved. I will post up my results possibly later on this evening to show you how I got on.
