You had some interesting feedbakc. Im a yougn designer, In the industry for about a year or so. And I believe that what we do CAN change the world. We understand communication alot better than the clients who ask for our services-That's why they come to us..
Will they tall the difference between helvetica and arial? Propbably not.
But I do believe that as designers it is not only our job to communicate, but to teach others a way of communication they have never seen before. And as people are taught, the way we all think, speak, and picture one another will hopefully one day change into something REAL and without bull*.
It a blessing and a curse sometimes-but I LOVE what I do. But, its also business.
Is a person that knows something another person doesnt better? I think not.
We are teachers-Sometimes unappreciated teachers, but teachers none the less.
