yeah i hear ya.
i really dig the canon because it feels substantial. solid without a ton of weight. i have never held the nikon 200 in my hands so i can not speak directly about it, but a lot of the lessser expensive nikons were really small/light...almost like the newer version of the canon digital rebel. for some it is good. i just really liked the feel of the 20D.
