Is there a big difference between standard warranty and applecare when using it outside the country of purchase? There's no genius bar as there is no apple store in Ireland anyway..

(Sep 25 06, 01:17)i think that both warranty and applecare are global, but only if it's a laptop or ipod (the rule is that if it can run without being plugged in, it's covered everywhere). i know that that's the case with applecare, not 100% sure about standard warranty. you may want to invest in applecare while you're still within the warranty period to be on the safe side. ring them!
