Why do people so frequently state that logos should convey a literal representation of the subject?
I don't agree with that.
Christ, that's one down from "cleverly hiding a picture of a bay in there - do you see it? Yeah that's it - just around the coast from the peninsular - watch out for the sharks! Did you like my compass and mermaid?"
Um. Anyway - Concrete, I like the second set of forms - red and black on white. Wasn't a fan of the gradients, and I like the standardised sizing.
My only [minor] quibble - I kind of read the P before the B, but whether that's relevant or not, I'm not sure.
