    I find that sometimes you can turn mild depression into creativity. Some good writing and music can definitely come out of depression. It can even help design. I sometimes find it hard to work if I'm really happy.

    Everyone's already touched on all my depression breakers though. Excercise and the outdoors are the big ones. Not only do you get the nice seretonin release from excercise, but it helps you focus, and i always find it makes me look towards the future and changing, rather than dwelling on all the shit bringing me down.

    and when all else fails turn to some good ol' healthy non addictive escapism. I think reading is the best... far more engaging than movies.
