I agree that sometimes style/form CAN be the communicative element, but I think it's the one-trick pony style that people are reacting to. nopattern has more diversity and range of sensibilities..
Then there's someone like Hydro74 whom sorta fits into the one-trick pony boat as well, but his work is so much more type-based and rooted deeper in traditional art and design that it comes across more diverse and than it actually is...
just my humble opinion from the bench on the sidelines...
