    I wouldn't say etiquette, it's more about respect ... she just didn't respect you enough to stay out of the deal. by definition you must appear to be vulnerable to her or that she felt you weren't an asset to her - she obviously doesn't think enough of you to keep you on her side so she went ahead and violated you.

    be subtle and subversive, but topple her none the less... some way some how, but don't waste too much energy on it. You don't want to play yourself out like a sucka.
