If they really need you yes. But alot of companies will bypass people if they can get somebody in country. A lot of companies dont like dealing with work visas and such... BUT it is all about how much they need you. So if you are really good at what you do, and they need somebody really bad, they will help with location and visa.
I also know that they sometimes are hesitant of helping you out with location $, because they are afraid you might flake on them and leave the company after they just dropped a few grand on you.
Also remember, that atleast here in the USA, there is a law against working people with foreign visa's way way too much. Sometimes bosses will take advantage of that visa and work people like 80 hour weeks. If this ever happens there is a law protecting you against this and you can sue.
