    tk,

Rome was started by josh reid in 2001, he worked at burton for many years. He designed burtons top selling board, the custom, for if i remember right 8 years. He left, with burtons blessing, to start his own company. He got investors, bought an old burton factory and started Rome.

I've been riding them since their 2nd year. It was hard finding a shop that carried them. Only 2 in michigan at that time. Most shops can't afford the buy-in/risk of bringing in a new product that might not sell. Holding onto last years product is not very profitable. So many don't, but the words really starting to get around. I'm a HUGE supporter of them. Not just because I get free crap, but because i think they offer a superior product. When/if we all get out west this winter I'll let anyone ride what I got. I've not had one person not switch to them when it's time to buy a new board... which says a lot.

Oh, and so far i've got about 6 people for at least 1 trip out west. All are welcome, as long as everyones down for fun, riding, some drinking and no DRAMA.
