    I use it mostly to get imports before they are in the U.S.

    Plus, you can listen to stuff straight from the site, you don't have to download it. I'll mostly use it to do that, check out new stuff.

    I've found tons of new music based on the suggestions on there, it works pretty well.

    And technically, it is not illegal (just immoral, basically).

    You are essentially importing a file from another country, in this case an mp3. There is no current law against that.
