i will go so far as to say he is the single most prolific writer of our time.
100 years from now, if someone wanted to know what it was really like to live in our times, they will need only read his stories.
challenge for you: "salem's lot" is a quick and easy read. knock it out this week and see if you still feel the same way.
*i picked "salem's lot" not because it's his best writing, but because i've recently reread it and was yet again floored by how skilled that man can craft a sentence and tell a story.
