Yeah, it always ends up being a pain in the ass.
But how about when your friend, who is doing a 'media' course asks for a hand finishing off an end of year project, then after designing and building the template (based around the illegible scrawls that were in his notebook), they went on a two day bender and asked for help at 8 o'clock on the morning it had to be handed in.
