Yes, I used to run into this ALL the time. What changed was my thinking and my ability to say no. It sounds weird but, once I started standing up for what I knew I was worth I started getting more offers in that range. Don't settle unless you know it will be worth it in the long run. Meaning, there are certain companies out there that I would take lower than what I'm worth just to work for them....everyone else, pay me what I'm worth or you don't get me.
