It's a great camera although a recent magazine compared the Nikon equivelent and gave the Nikon a better score (it's either the N50 or N70)
I met so many photographers that said the opposite though..
in fact I know at least 3 that have been shooting with nikons their whole life, and recently switched to canon, (meaning that they had to get rid of several lenses as well). This is mainly why I chosed canon over nikon, but again, I guess is a matter or preference, and at my level (very amateur) I don't think it matters any decent entry level slr will work.:)
