mrs_emecks, you'll love it. It's only when you've been here 23 years without more than 2 weeks away that it starts to grate.

Well it's all sorted anyway, I fly out on 12th September. Return flight's booked for 8th December unless I decide to head for the hills. I need to build up courage to tell my boss, maybe even see if he'll keep the job open if I decide to come back.
