Also, try to look for places near where you like to hang out at, or would like to hang out more.
Saves on transportation fees in the long run as well.
Walking distance to your favourite food market, bar, friends, sports venues sounds kind of cheesey but if it is what makes you happy then do it.
What I/I'd do would be to get a list of places you'd like to move to and then make a Pros/Cons list on each one.
That way you can hopefully shrink the list down a bit and maybe 1 or 2 might jump out as the favourites.
And read over the lease like your life depended on it, your parents can help with that.
My mom and sister still read over mine.
