this is what we say at the bottom of a normal memo (eg: client, document, job no., proof no., date, to, from, copies to) that accompanies the proof, either final inhouse proof or wet or digis from the printing house:
When you are satisfied no further changes are required please sign below and return by fax as authorisation to proceed.
Sign off for printer’s proofs
I hereby authorise XXXX to proceed to prepare artwork, make plates and print [QTY] proofs of the [JOB]. I understand that any alterations after this stage will incur charges for plate changes.
Print quantity: [QTY] (please advise any alterations to this amount immediately).Signed: ................................... Dated: ..........................
on behalf of [•••••••••]Sign off for print
I hereby authorise XXXX to proceed to print the [JOB]. I understand that no further alterations will be possible.
