all i'm saying is that if you believed that my relationship with my partner was wrong and that my relationship with my child was wrong, i wouldn't be able to consider you a friend.
disagreeing on abortion or shi'a law or whether or not there's a god - these are incidental philisophical differences about which we can debate. but if you don't believe in my family or my right to have a family, that's a fundamental problem that you have with me as a person and no, i don't think that my interpretation of friendship would stretch to allow for that.
