Partly why I am going into it. Summers off, and then all the other holidays (probably equals maybe 12 weeks a year off).
Plus you only have to teach for 5 hours. Granted you spend the remaining 3 hours marking and developing lessons, but after a few years you'd probably be able to just re-use material.
Pay isn't the greatest for teachers in the US. It's not bad here in Canada, and the pension plan is pretty ace. I really want to teach communication technology down the road, however I have to go back to school for some extra teaching qualifications.
