Nashville rocks! Depending on how long you're going to be in the area, I'd suggest...Smoky Mountains. Natchez Trace is also pretty cool.
If you come to Nashville, definitely do the Nashtrash tour - http://www.nashtrash.com - its a drunken, bizarre experience.
For clubs, check out 12th and Porter or the Slow Bar...that is if you aren't looking for the cheesy big haired country cover music experience.
