Seriously though...I've never been good at being funny with strangers like that. What has worked - after the 'catching eyes' moment - is simply going up - asking if she's in a relationship - and if not asking for her number.
Worst she can say is no - to which you reply - "Well I just had to ask because I would have kicked myself if I had left here without trying. Enjoy the rest of your day."
