It all sorta proves that you can't force people to be multicultural. My best mate's indian, but then at my college, indians and pakistanis will sit on their own tables etc etc. It grates when we've had 2 or 3 asian arts festivals at school, but nothing to do with christianity or biritshness - we're not even allowed the st.george on our flagpole. EVERYTHING is out of hand, in almost every way over here - i live in Birmingham in the UK, and you can feel the tension when you're in town, or at school - last year, huge groups of black lads from school fought huge groups of asian lads from school - one black lad went to hospital after being sprayed with CS Gas.

I don't think multicultualism can work in its present form - by definition, culture is something spawned by geographical/environmental circumstances, if you move to another culture, you must be accepting of it.

I hate that muslims think their religion and culture demands my respect when it's not earnt it, and when it doesn't belong, or work in Britain as it tries to now - if it's not willing to adapt to Biritsh culture, how can it ever live alongside it.

    Sigh.

I read these religous rants on here every now and then and think, nah, i can't be arsed to reply, but today i thought i should, because something's gunna snap around me soon, have a nasty feeling that all the tension's gunna just blow up.

    Done.
