jev - try 'turning your hands over' right when you meet the ball in your swing.
Basically it's a slight roll in your hands right at then end that'll adjust the face of you club at the point of impact in your sweep...
... then again... I shot 60+ over on the back nine yesterday... mainly because I got LAZY.
I have a wicked slice too - sometimes I'll over compensate (turning my hands over) and send the ball the other way.
It's all about mechanics.
