So I bought a new driver, and now for some reason I have a wicked slice...fucking annoying

Hold your driver normal in your hands and "whip" it back and forth about 6 inches off the ground. See how much, if any, play is in the shaft. If it bends like hell you have a soft flex shaft. When you swing, your swing is actually too powerful for the shaft, the shaft bends and on contact the club head actually twists out from the force, thus... giving you a slice.
You may want to get a stiff shaft club next time.
