see how it all pans out. just remember that if she doesn't look like Selma Hayek, it was [hopefully] the "real" person inside that you became attracted to. So if you aren't physically attracted to her and decide not to pursue this, remember that she is also a friend and to let her down easy. don't just stop calling or anything.
