arlington is cool. i like in the city more, but there are some really great things in alexandria. quick ride in as well.
aigadc and adc are two good places to look- i think i sent those to you btu don't remember.
50-60 seems about right moving here. you can definitly make more once groups see your skills, drive, etc. but that is good to count on. it is expensive coming from SC i am sure, but not neerly like NYC. be prepared to spend money on eating though... only because there are so many awesome restaurants you will get addicted to!! : )
