It can also be interpreted as sexist, and fortunately society has changed a lot so that there is a bit more equality.

Like I said - you need to read yourself - you're trying to establish a negative connection w/the Bible based on what you've 'heard'.
The Bible says mankind should adore and treasure women... and cherish them as they have qualities that are much less dominant in men (affection etc)...
I doubt you want any of those quotes either...right? :)
