    most cars produced in the last couple years can run on ethanol. flex fuel engines i believe they're called.

    only problem is it is near impossible to start ethanol based engines at near 20ºF temperatures.

    I have friends in Germany that have been running their car on Vegetable Oil for the past five years. It works.

    There are a number of different feed stocks (methyl esters, refined canola oil, french fry oil, etc.) that are used to produce biodiesel, but in the end they all have a few common problems...
