or sometimes copy and paste works better. if you got gradients and drop shadows and shit (or any layer effects in your illo doc) kill em and just redo them in flash.
also if you use some of the cs2 stuff like gradient masks drop them 'cause they will almost always get jacked up.
sometimes it also helps if you open the illo with freehand and export from there.
