Director is your best choice. I have done a few projects like what you are asking to be done, So i know Director would work great for that type of stuff!

You might be right, this is software I hope to develop and market and whenever I see software developed with Director, I always have a little less respect for it. (maybe just because I know it)
Does anyone else agree that software like director would be better than C+ or Java for handeling alot of video?
