    that sucks but there is no way that you cant send it back for the model you were originally being given.

    what is the model # on the receipt??? if the sales man suppose to sell you the latest model then march back in there.

    i have the W8611 and yes it gets hot, but it doesnt stay hot, only for maybe a few minutes.

    i only got the rainbow ball once and that was b/c i had opened a super large illy file to preview...i learnd to just open the files without previewing.

    it hasnt skipped a beat since...i have sound issues meaning weird sounds from speakers or spinning hard drive.

    the sound problem can be fixed by launching [garage band or photobooth] do not know why this is the fix but it works [i only read it worked] like isaid i dont or havent gotten the weird sounds.

    the apple rep is correct, the mpb is a super machine and yes it is still beta.

    you cant trully complain so much knowing the machine is still beta, but hell GMail is still beta too, does that mean it is a bad product...no but you have to take it with precaution.

    there should be no reason that apple will not take back your machine. hell you can probably even take that apple store to the [Better Business Bureau] as they sold you something to which they had said it was something else.

    i would report them. and contine and get your new MPB.

    maYBE this is a great lesson for all of us.

    MAKE SURE YOU READ THE FINE PRINT!!!!!!!!

    always look over your purchase, in reality you got a NYC brick instead of your car stereo.

    always check your goods, its like purchasing clothing, you must check for holes or stains or something to that effect of the construction.
