if they let the neocons just play it out as 'ahhh a little harmless wire-tapping of badguys, aw, c'mon..we did it for YOU', then the Dems are fucked...
they need to show it more as a presidential powerplay...arrogance and an 'above the law' attitude...most folks i think don't care about the wiretapping in general because they think it does't apply to them 'i've done nothing so i've nothing to fear'
but just about EVERY american hates the idea of a small select few being above the law...
that just tends to piss everyone off...the idea that an elite bunch of wealthy folks can essentially do whatever the fuck they want..showcase the 'breaking the law' part, and showcase the 'laws dont' apply to the bush family' aspect of this case, and the dems have a shot
but like i said..it's a looong shot..
