Command-click (control on windows) the layer maskânow you have a selection. Select the layer you want it applied to and click "add layer mask".

(Mar 30 06, 03:41)same thing really - is this the only way, I don't think I've ever seen a 'drag mask to another layer' function
(the grouping layers things really handy too though, but I don't know what any version higher than 7 does to handle such things)
