Ya I agree with bio. A client should take you based on your proposal and resume. They should be confident in your abilties base on your porfolio. However sometime it is hard to estimate your cost if you don't have a good idea of the structure of a a site. Which in it self is a hard thing to do. I spend more hours figuring out how a site is gona look and function then I actually do building the site most of the time. Can I bill them for all the amount of time I spend staring at the screen hopeing something will hit me? I think not. That why i usually just put 20 hours for design and development to start which is usually 20% of the time for most sites I do. Ah freelance...what a lovely pain in my ass
