Viewing it at a larger size, even more problems arise. They've turned the logo from an OS icon into something that should be on the hood of a car, or a bottle of dish soap.
They really should have stuck with the flat version, and developed a stronger, and frankly more interesting logotype.
Regardless, the whole package is uninspired and lacking any real 'umph'. Nothing about Quark's new identity speaks to me, or speaks to anything beyond a thirty second attention span.
