Where I used to work, my AD always gave everyone crap. Most of the time, it was about the stupidest things.
So, I am a fairly even tempered guy, but I can get under someone's skin if I want to. Let me just say that I hate quark, and my machine had some messed up version on it. Whenever I used it something bad would happen. So, I'd always be telling him how much Quark sucks. Apparently, this was a touchy subject for him. And one day he was apparently at his breaking point. I made some comment about Quark and he just went off on a tirade about how I should just work and shut my mouth... this went on for a couple minutes with him yelling quite loud. Meanwhile, it was an intern's first day, he sat at the desk right next to me. He later told me, he almost broke out laughing. So, I just listened and after he was done, I told him very calmly that I thought he was being an idiot and that he could dish it out but couldn't take it (he was full of talk). We didn't talk for about the next week or so, I found a new job a few months later. No physical punched thrown, but it was pretty intense.
