    with an fm thing like the itrip your cars alternator might interfere with the signal or like someone said , it might not always be reliable.

    the things that plug into your cassette hole and into the headphones part of your ipod work. my lil bro uses that in his car and he gets decent results. good if your just 'listening' to tunes while in your car. maybe not a solution if you're an audiophile.

    if its a newish car then get in touch with your dealer and see if theyve got an install - most new makes do offer ipod integration to the standard head unit. (their solution might fit more with the car interior as its designed for YOUR car - rather than halfords 'universal' solution)

    and as someone said, some head units will already have an input jack in the front or back for an ipod.
